As a society, we focus on fixing things, looking at what’s wrong without giving much attention to all that is right. Bad news always sells. People seem to be more interested in hearing about bad news rather than good news. Advertising continually reminds us of what’s missing. If we mindlessly listen to the media and what other’s have to say about us, we have little support for fully believing in ourselves.
When a baby is born, they have to be shown how to hold a bottle, walk etc., that baby is thought right from wrong based on the standards and values of the person who rears it. Behaviour is learned. While growing up, most of us received indirect and direct personal messages that indicated we were not good enough. I’m sure you can remember many times when something someone said or did something which made you feel imperfect or inadequate.
If we don’t become aware of the limiting belief patterns that automatically govern our thoughts and actions, we will always feel inadequate. Once we begin to look at this areas and realise there is not such thing as perfection, everyone is unique and perfectly ‘imperfect’ we can begin to modify our belief system and have new beliefs about ourselves. Life coaching supports you in choosing new perspectives and establishing new beliefs. It will also enable you to identify and live from your strengths. You will learn to celebrate all of who you are and appreciate all of the marvellous qualities you certainly have.
Life coaching gives you the confidence and ability to move forward in a positive way in different areas of life where such as greater ability communicate with other, improved personal effectiveness, sense of direction and focus, increased self-awareness, greater ability to relate to and influence others, increased motivation and ability to handle change effectively.
There is a very true saying ‘if you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got’, life coaching helps you understand the problems and issues you are facing in life and enable you make effective modifications so that you can emerge in ways that will have you wanting to make new choices and create new habits. It basically helps you to build a bridge between where you are and where you want to be.
As your Coach, Yvonne will listen, help, encourage and assist you to set goals which will bring into your life and creative solutions to overcome difficulties you are experiencing in your life. She will provide you with different perspective on situations and will also offer you honest feedback and guide you to achieving the balanced life you deserve.
How long would you work with Yvonne?
It is hard to state exactly how many sessions will be required as each person is unique and significant life change takes time. Yvonne will encourage you to assess on a regular basis where you are to ensure the process is working for both of you.
Each coaching session will last approximately 1hr in duration. Yvonne offers one to one coaching at her premises in Ballyclough, Co. Limerick.
Yvonne also offers e-coaching services and will be happy to work with you using a variety of communication methods such as free conference calls, skype, landline or cell phone.
Email support is also offered between sessions.
